The compact stretch of galleries, eateries, and studios along the Hughes River is hosting free concerts, a rotating visual art exhibition, and a brand-new monthly workshop series — all without a cover charge.

Sperryville Summer Concert Series: 6th Season, Every Third Thursday

Now in its sixth year, the Sperryville Summer Concert Series runs every third Thursday from May through September 2026 at the Sperryville River District. The format is simple and well-loved: gates and food trucks open at 5pm, and live music runs from 6–8pm. Admission is free.

The series showcases regional musicians with genuinely diverse sounds. The season kicked off with Rebecca Porter Music, described as a fusion of Appalachian grit and Chamoru heritage — a combination that set the tone for what sounds like an eclectic summer lineup. Artist Sam Grantham's solo exhibition 'The Spirit Moved Me' is currently on view at The Confluence Gallery and runs through the end of June 2026. The Collective Canvas: Free Monthly Art Workshops

Starting in June, The Confluence Gallery launches The Collective Canvas — a new monthly series of free, interactive creative workshops and artist demonstrations. Sessions are held on Second Saturdays from 2–4pm, June through November 2026. Each month features a different local or regional artist, so no two workshops are the same.
